Theodoros Akis Giovazolias, PsychD, Associate Professor of Counselling psychology in the Department of Psychology, University of Crete, Greece. His research interests focus on issues of interpersonal acceptance-rejection, especially in the form of bullying and its effects on children and adolescents. He is also interested in both parental and intimate acceptance-rejection and its correlates on the psychological adjustment of children and adults. He is particularly interested in rejection sensitivity as a predictor of psychological functioning in different age samples. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Counselling Psychology and he serves as an Editorial member and ad-hoc reviewer in more than 30 international peer-reviewed journals. In 2015 he was awarded the Annual Award of the European Association of Counselling Psychology for Outstanding Contribution to Counselling Psychology across Europe.
