Dr. Muhammad Mussaffa Butt is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan. His research focuses on interpersonal acceptance–rejection, substance abuse, emotion regulation, forensic psychology, and applied cognitive psychology, particularly eyewitness memory and emotion recognition. A passionate teacher and researcher, Dr. Butt’s doctoral work examined interpersonal acceptance–rejection among individuals with substance use disorders, and he continues to advance IPARTheory through empirical and cross-cultural research. He has translated and validated several IPARTheory measures into Urdu and actively mentors Pakistani scholars working in this domain. His recent collaborations span neuroscience, open science, and indigenous test development, reflecting his commitment to integrating scientific rigor with cultural relevance.
