Francisco Machado, PhD, is an Auxiliary Professor and researcher in the Social and Behavioral Sciences Department of Maia University Institute in Porto, Portugal. He’s also a lecturer and coordinator of the School and Educational Psychology Master’s Degree program in the same department. His research interests focus on parental, teacher, and intimate partner acceptance-rejection and on the way those dimensions play a role on family functioning, academic achievement, social and emotional learning, violence prevention, and career guidance and development.
