Dara Musheer Ibrahim, PhD, is a lecturer in the Department of Special Education, College of Education, University of Salahaddin, Kurdistan, Iraq. He did his post-doctoral research in the Rohner Center, UConn. He has collaborated with Dr. Rohner on a now-published research project dealing with American adults’ remembrances of parental acceptance-rejection in childhood and their current level of rejection sensitivity. And also on two international studies, one of which deals with the relation between Iraqi adults’ remembrances of parental rejection in childhood and their current level of loneliness, as moderated by psychological maladjustment. The second study deals with Iraqi adults’ remembrances of parental acceptance-rejection in childhood and their current predisposition to be forgiving, as mediated or moderated by psychological adjustment.
