Ebru Akün, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist in the Department of Psychology at Ankara University, Türkiye. Her main research focuses on Interpersonal Acceptance-Rejection Theory (IPARTheory), specifically investigating the relationship between perceived parental acceptance-rejection in childhood and adult psychopathology. She is also interested in how memories of parental acceptance-rejection relate to perceived partner acceptance, attachment styles, childhood trauma, and early maladaptive schemas, especially through the perspectives of personality traits and gender.
